Aerodynamic test lab
 

    The aerodynamic test lab exists 2 sets of 2500kW fan, 1 sets of 400kW fan and 1 sets of 100KW fan are connected to form the main air piping and supply air to the multi-stage air turbine test rig. The working fluid of steam seal test rig is supplied by the common compressed air system with air. The lubricating system and air intake and air exhaust silencing system are provided. It mostly carries out the test verification of test research and optimization design of aerodynamic characteristics of the turbine unit, cascade flow passage, feed steam cylinder and exhaust steam cylinder of steam turbines and the flow passage components including high- and medium-pressure main steam valves, regulating valves , etc., improves flow performance, reduce flow losses, increases the efficiency of steam turbines and decreases the heat consumption rate.

1. Multi-stage air turbine test rig (under construction)
    ☆ Functions and supporting areas: The test research of aerodynamic performance of first stages of high- and medium-pressure cylinders and low-pressure cylinders of steam turbines at individual levels of 300MW-1800MW can be carried out. For impulse steam turbines, the test research of the multi-stage air turbine consisting of 3-4 stages can be carried out. For reaction steam turbines, the test research of the multi-stage air turbine consisting of 7-8 stages can be carried out.
    ☆ Instruments and equipments: Hydraulic dynamometer, torque meter, Venturi flowmeter, pressure data acquisition system of pressure scanning valve, measuring probe system of multi-dimensional coordinate frame, platinum thermal resistor, platinum thermal resistor, and matched automatic control and data acquisition system.
    ☆ Parameters and technical ability: The test rig is able to carry out the test of multi-stage air turbine with the pressure ratio of less than 3 and the maximum air flow of 1800m3/min. The designed pressure ratio and flow of test stand body are able to fulfill the test of 3 successive stages (pressure stages) in high-pressure cylinders and medium-pressure cylinders of 300MW-2100MW steam turbine units with the modeling scale from 0.6 to 1 (The dimension scale is between 0.6:1 and 1:1.) and the test of three stages, two stages or single stage with the reduced modeling scale of superheated steam stage of low-pressure cylinders.
    ☆ Allowable research work: Curve of change relation between efficiency of test stage or test stage group and velocity ratio, curve of change relation between degree of reaction of root top part and velocity ratio, curve of change relation between flow coefficient and velocity ratio, distribution of degree of reaction of stage along blade height, distribution of outlet flow angle of stationary blade along blade height (mean value of cascade spacing at lower edge of individual radiuses), distribution of outlet flow angle of moving blade along blade height, distribution of outlet velocity of stationary blade along blade height (mean value of cascade spacing at lower edge of individual radiuses), distribution of outlet velocity of moving blade along blade height, distribution of energy loss coefficient of stationary blade along blade height, distribution of energy loss coefficient of moving blade along blade height, and distribution of internal efficiency ratio of stages along blade height.
2. Single-stage turbine test rig
    ☆ Functions and support fields: The test research of aerodynamic performance of single stage in the first stages of high-pressure and medium-pressure cylinders and low-pressure cylinders of steam turbines at individual levels of 300MW-1000MW can be carried out.
    ☆ Instruments and equipments: Hydraulic dynamometer, torque meter, Venturi flowmeter, data acquisition system of pressure scanning valve, measuring probe system of multi-dimensional coordinate frame, platinum thermal resistor, and matched automatic control and data acquisition system.
 
    ☆ Parameters and technical ability: The test rig is able to carry out the test of single-stage air turbine with the pressure ratio of less than 3 and the maximum air flow of 1800m3/min. The designed pressure ratio and flow of test stand body are able to fulfill the test of single stage in the first stages of high-pressure cylinders, medium-pressure cylinders and low-pressure cylinders of 300MW-1000MW steam turbine units.

3. Air duct, air tunnel and annular cascade test rig
    ☆ Functions and supporting areas: The air duct and air tunnel test rig is the most widely used test rig in aerodynamic tests. On this stand, multiple aerodynamic tests of annular cascade, feed steam cylinder, exhaust steam cylinder, exhaust steam pipe , etc. can be carried out. With the tests, the aerodynamic performance of cascade can be evaluated, the profile of flow passage part of feed steam cylinder and exhaust steam cylinder can be optimized and the resistance coefficient of exhaust steam pipe can be determined. This stand can also be used for performing the calibration of air flow measuring device.
    ☆ Instruments and equipments: Data acquisition system of pressure scanning valve, measuring probe system of multi-dimensional coordinate frame, and pressure transmitter.
    ☆ Parameters and technical ability: The test stand is able to carry out the test of cascade and exhaust steam cylinder with the pressure ratio of less than 3, the maximum air flow of 1800m3/min and the maximum air tunnel diameter of 1500mm.
    ☆ Allowable research work: Aerodynamic test of feed steam cylinder and exhaust steam cylinder, aerodynamic test of annular cascade and aerodynamic test of exhaust air pipe.
4. Valve test stand
    ☆ Functions and supporting areas: The valve test rig is able to carry out the test of aerodynamic performance, resistance coefficient, flow coefficient and steam distribution performance of main steam valves, regulating valves and any other valves of steam turbines.
    ☆ Instruments and equipments: Data acquisition system of pressure scanning valve, measuring probe system of multi-dimensional coordinate frame, pressure transmitter, and orifice plate flowmeter.
    ☆ Parameters and technical ability: The test rig is able to carry out the aerodynamic test of valves with the pressure ratio of less than 3 and the maximum air flow of 1800m3/min.
    ☆ Allowable research work: Test research of resistance coefficient of valves, test research of flow coefficient of valves, steam distribution simulation test of valves and lifting force test of valves.
5. Plane cascade test stand of stationary blade and moving blade
    ☆ Functions and supporting areas: The plane cascade test rig is able to carry out the aerodynamic test research of aerodynamic performance, profile optimization and pressure ratio optimization of various types of cascades.
    ☆ Instruments and equipments: Data acquisition system of pressure scanning valve, measuring probe system of multi-dimensional coordinate frame, and pressure transmitter.
    ☆ Parameters and technical ability: The test rig is able to carry out the aerodynamic test of cascades with the pressure ratio of less than 3 and the maximum air flow of 1800m3/min.
    ☆ Allowable research work: Test research of profile loss, end loss and outlet flow angle of various types of cascades, test research of optimal operating range of blade profile and test research of blade profile optimization.
6. Steam seal test rig
    ☆ Functions and supporting areas: The steam seal test rig is able to carry out the test research of steam leakage performance, friction performance and steam seal optimization of various types of steam seals.
    ☆ Instruments and equipments: Two-stage centrifugal compressor, data acquisition system of pressure scanning valve, frequency converter, turbine flowmeter, and pressure transmitter.
    ☆ Parameters and technical ability: It is able to carry out the test of various types of steam seals with the maximum rotational speed of 5200rpm, the disc diameter of 1000mm and the maximum pressure of 1.6MPa.
    ☆ Allowable research work: Test research of change of flow coefficient of various types of steam seals with pressure ratio, rotational speed and clearance, optimization test research of steam seal structure and wear test research of steam seals.
